Bring your brollies!.
We have made a couple of changes to the published calendar for events later in the season.
We have pushed back the Final Countdown at Worthing one week, to Friday the 5th October, and as a result we have also pushed back the following Captains Golf Day at Stoneham to the 19th October…
All details updated on the website…
It is with great sadness to report that Steve Piper passed away on Dec 26th.
A popular member of TAGS until recently, Steve was a great inspiration to TAGS members through his footballing career, with many playing with, against and for Steve at some time or other. He played 162 times for Brighton and Hove Albion, before moving to Portsmouth and then Worthing. He also played for Littlehampton, Southwick, Steyning and Arundel amongst other clubs.
We will miss you greatly Steve……
Our thoughts and condolences are with Dawn and his family at this time.

Often, when on the tee, especially par 3’s when you take an iron, RAGAs often ask me about what to do when you leave a massive divot on the tee….? Is it polite to leave it ?
Well, see that green box next to your landscaping??.. its not a stool to sit on, a rubbish bin or a look out step..it has soil in to REPAIR YOUR DIVOT… The clue is around what you left for the next person..
At a thrilling Final Countdown this September, Micky Halford surged on the final back 9 holes of the lower to over come Pitts to win the Merit..
Heres Micky accepting the cup, with his admirers looking on – Spu Manti, Pom Maine and M.albec…Gibby providing protection…but that didn’t work as the Cup has been reported abandoned at Worthing Golf Club…
Is that Turkish on the left out at the Nevill with a couple of strangers??.. No!.. take a closer look and you will see that this is the sight that Cheesy uncovered at the Nevill when the Gibb/Jupp brothers and Turkish were caught coming out the bushes next to the 9th green!!..obviously in a hurry to act as if everything is normal, the threesome picked up the wrong clothes!.. uncanny how that hat suits!!
Plenty of trees and lighting fast greens proved a challenge to many at the Nevill this month, and our new member Treagy Jnr took the honours with 39 points, followed by another strong performance from Gibb F with 36points..the only two to beat the course on the day..
Due to an administrative error the Green Jacket was unavailable for duty so captain of vice improvised on the day to ensure Treagy Jnr received the full experience of a TAGS Merit win…
