WALLY WONDER WIN!

Wally scores an excellent 39 points to take the prizes at Old Thorns this month!.. Not sure if that is the back pain on Lords grin, or the reluctance of giving over the green jacket from his win at Cowdray last month!.

Paynie renewed his membership to ICOC as well on the day with 27 points, closely losing out to Blair on count back…

The Lord Cracks Cowdray

Pat took the honours at Cowdray in June with 37 points… Well done to Pat.

A close run for last place saw Del and Lamby contest the Clowns Outfit with Lamby losing it on count back!.

Results for the day can be found here

RAGAs “Run Riot” to win Ryder at Worthing

A strong display of Foursomes golf saw the RAGA’s take a 5-1 lead into the PM singles competition at Worthing last Friday.

A revival from Worthing didn’t hold and the RAGA’s took their first win at Worthing since 2005 to even up the scores for the Ryder Cup at 12-12.

Some quality golf was played as usual..with plenty of support from each side.. Heres a couple of shots from the first tee – looking for Blairs “drive”, 5 mins later…(RAGA rules haven’t quite caught up with the R&A’s..it was finally declared lost..even with all that help!), and A PM match, both taking their second shots on the first hole…

Captain for Worthing and host for the day gave a fine and spirited speech after all matches had finished, in what was a very enjoyable day for all, played on an excellent course, with with wonderful weather conditions and a fantastic spirit!. Well done to all!

West Win for Wooters

Wooters took charge on the West Course at East Sussex to win the Merit round with 42 points on a wet and blustery day in East Sussex

Commander was second with a credible 38 points of a handicap of 6 and Wally came 3rd with a standard 36 points… Don’t worry…Captain Dirk came 4th on count back with 36 and was cut a further 0.4 for this year – down to 21.0 now.!>

Treagy wasn’t their to congratulate Wooters, but timing for such form is mixed, given the 2.8 cut dished out and the Ryder Cup less than a month away…

Captain Steel wins again

Dirk won the day at Gatton on count back to Benji on Tuesday..

He stays top of the Merit by 11 points as a result after the first three rounds..

He was so embarrassed at winning again, he got the Vice Captain to read out the results!.
