Hailing Island G.C is the venue for our additional golf day for 2016.

It will be played on Tuesday 11th October 2016.

This was added following the AGM and the request to add a merit round in October now that the tour is generally in September.

As this will be after the final countdown, this will be the 2nd round for the 2017 Merit Trophy.!  Getting more like a football season with a Winter break!

PK wins our first Merit round of 2016 – 2nd of the 2016 trophy, and creeps to an early lead in the Merit Cup.

This year we welcome Peter Raynsford to the membership of TAGS

Peter will be known to many members and of course has the disadvantage of having his Dad telling him how to play better – although by the looks of the handicaps I think Peter has managed to sort that out pretty nicely thankyou very much!..

Anyway, with a Big Cheesy on the books already, it seemed only right to consider Peter as the little Cheesey…or babybel for short,, any other suggestions welcomed by the committee!

Peter along with 39 others are lined up for this Friday to play Brighton and Hove –  All the best and good luck to all!.

Subs due to be paid by the start of the AGM..

Subs for 2016 are about to come due.  Subs must be paid to the Treasurer before the start of the AGM to be held on 25th January 2016.

During the annual end of season dinner dance, our incoming Captain Micky J announced to a happy gathering, or was that the alcohol?..his vice captain for 2016…

Following directly on from Cheesy’s handing over speech where he singled out both Feesty and Puff for doing so much during the year…..Feesty…? ..maybe that was the alcohol..? ..Micky J excitedly announced that the one and the same….Rookie… was his new Vice Captain…confused..?  We all were…but Rookie did seem to know about this (the vice captaincy, not that he was really Feesty) and was ever ready with an acceptance speech and promises that 2017 will be a great year…Good luck Mick!!!

With 24hrs to go before the 2016 Vice Captain is revealed, Micky J, Captain was unavailable for comment on the growing numbers of rumours about who he has chosen…

I guess we will just have to wait until tomorrow..
