PK wins 2016 International merit round
The 2016 international merit round, played at Son Quint , Mallorca was won by PK..
A dry day, but wet course proved to be easy for the 6 handicapper and he walked in with 37 points on the last day of the Mallorca tour. Well done PK.

Floods, Thunder and Lightning ensure Lord wins Cookie Cup (no famine though)
Through some torrential rain, thunder and Lightning and a generally wet Tour, a modified Cookie Cup was one by Lord
With the second round effectively being wiped out by continued storms and rain, making the course and greens unplayable, unless you took shelter and waited for the water to subside…the Cookie Cup was adjusted to take only two scores – one from days 1 and 2, plus the third days score from what became the Merit round at Son Quint.

Spider Catches his prize at Worthing
Despite a brave effort from GG to be leading after the first round of the day at Worthing, Spider set his web to catch and overhaul the deficit to win the Merit Trophy for 2016.. Well done Spider!.
Cheesy, 2015 Merit was the Merit round winner on the day with 40 points..
The final Merit table and results are all up on the website for all to see.
Beaver Wins the Day at Crowborough
Beaver comes home with a solid 36 points to win the Merit round at Crowborough.
Motty (35), Ash (34) and Golly (33) come close enough to be cut, but not get the Jacket
Lamby Wins at West Surrey
Lamby takes first place and the Green Jacket at West Surrey, with a magnificent 40 points.
Ryder Cup results in..
The Worthing Ryder Cup Team came on strong in the PM session at Hill Barn and took the Ryder Cup for a third successive year.
After an even morning, where at lunch the scores were 3-3, the afternoon singles went to Worthing 9 1/2 to 2 1/2, making the final score 12 1/2 to 5 1/2
Next years Ryder Cup has already been booked for 23rd June 2017 at Worthing Golf Course..

End of Season Dinner
Our Captain has set the date and location for the end of season dinner this year.
Please keep this date free in your diaries – more details coming out in due course..

Location – Ardington Hotel
Commander in Charge at Stoneham..
The Stoneham Merit round saw Commander Young comfortably take the winnings with 37 Points earning himself a 1 shot cut to 6. Damski (34pts) and Pk (33pts) took 2nd and 3rd with respective cuts..
